{"id":5047,"date":"2022-06-01T17:24:42","date_gmt":"2022-06-01T21:24:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/systep.cl\/systep-vertimiento-de-ernc-interanual-aumento-1-220-en-abril\/"},"modified":"2023-01-24T16:54:15","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T20:54:15","slug":"systep-vertimiento-de-ernc-interanual-aumento-1-220-en-abril","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/systep.cl\/en\/systep-vertimiento-de-ernc-interanual-aumento-1-220-en-abril\/","title":{"rendered":"Systep: year-on-year NCRE discharge rose 1,220% in April"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>However, the figure reached 78 GWh in April, representing a drop of 46% compared to last March.<\/p>\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.revistaei.cl\/?s=vertimiento\" target=\"_blank\">Systep&#8217;s May report published <\/a>highlights that the Non-Conventional Renewable Energy discharge recorded its lowest figure in all of 2022, although the year-on-year metric <strong>reached 1,220% in April<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The report indicates that &#8220;the largest NCRE source corresponds to the solar contribution which <strong>represents 55%<\/strong> (1,271 GWh) followed by the wind contribution with 32% (738 GWh), then the hydro, biomass and geothermal contributions with 6%, 5% and 1% respectively&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>Regarding discharge, the document states that &#8220;during April 2022, <strong>78 GWh of solar and wind energy was discharged<\/strong>, which reflects a reduction of 46% compared to March 2022 (146 GWh) and an increase of 1,220% compared to April 2021&#8243;.  <\/p>\n\n<p>In this regard, Systep&#8217;s Studies Engineer, Jorge Hurtado, explained that the sustained increase in discharges is mainly due to two reasons:<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8211; The first is at the subsystem level, which is related to the <strong>capacity limitations of the transmission system <\/strong>to cope with the growing development of renewable solar and wind projects.
