The Systep Team is pleased to present the Monthly Report of the Chilean Electricity Sector (in Spanish).
In this edition of the report, we presents an analysis of the impact of NCRE in the operation of the national electricity system in 2030, which was constructed with the HELO model (Hourly Electric Operation) developed by Systep, this model considers relevant technological constraints such as technical minimum and minimum start and stop time of generating units. Among the presented results are the difference in marginal cost between day and night, operation characteristics of thermal units and the behavior of the technologies that replace the NCRE generation in different times of the day.
We expect that this report will be a contribution to the electricity industry, where we also review the following information:
Analysis of the operation of each interconnected system.
Systep 12-months spot price forecast (SIC and SING).
Summary by companies.
Auction prices.
Non-Conventional Renewable Energies.
Regulatory monitoring.
Projects in Environmental Impact Assessment.
Its distribution is performed monthly.
