The Systep Team is pleased to present the Monthly Report of the Chilean Electricity Sector (in Spanish).

In this edition of the Report we analyse the main responsibilities of the new independent coordinator of national electrical system (CISEN by its Spanish acronym), which will be operational from 1 January 2017. The new functions are indicated in the Transmission Law, within which is to be developer and innovator in energy aspects, the faculty to send proposals for expansion of the transmission system and its role of permanent monitoring the electricity market competition. Also, it is reviewed the new approach that will have the Coordinator on the current CDEC, pending matters and future challenges.

We expect that this report will be a contribution to the electricity industry, where we also review the following information:
