In this edition, the contribution of batteries to the flexibility of the National Electric System in a high penetration of variable renewable energies (solar and wind) scenario is explored. Through a dispatch schedule that considers all the technical constraints of the generator park (HELO model), the effects on the operation of the system are analyzed by incorporating battery banks into SEN candidate bars, quantifying the economic benefits for a year of study determined.
