The Systep Team is pleased to present the Chilean Electricity Sector Monthly Report.

The June editorial is entitled “Medium Systems Bill: the good, the bad and the inefficient”. It reviews the Medium Systems PoL. It highlights the tariff guarantee granted to renewables and storage, although it contains technological biases. The incorporation of tenders, unnecessary in natural monopolies, is questioned. Finally, the inefficiencies derived from the tariff equalization mechanism are discussed.

In addition, the Report and electricity sector statistics are available for download in Excel format from our statistics web portal. Through this measure, we seek to facilitate the community’s access to information related to the electricity sector, for which we compile and organize the most relevant SEN data on a monthly basis:
