Within the framework of the preparation of the White Paper, whose main objective is the modernization of the Peruvian electricity system, our Director, Alejandro Navarro Espinosa, presented on May 5 to the Multisectoral Commission for the Reform of the Peruvian Electricity Subsector, the main conclusions of the study related to Thematic Axis 1: Strengthening the institutional framework.
The preparation of the White Paper was divided into different thematic areas, with the participation of renowned international academics such as Frank Wolak, Tomás Gómez, Alberto Pototschnig, Ignacio Pérez-Arriaga, Peter Cramton and Carlos Battle.
The analysis of Thematic Axis 1, headed by our directors Alejando Navarro Espinosa and Hugh Rudnick Van de Wyngard, aims to identify the actions that seek to adapt the Peruvian institutional framework for the transition to a new regulatory framework for the electricity sector. Alejandro Navaro Espinosa and Hugh Rudnick were supported by the Systep team and professionals from the Peruvian consulting firm Sidec. The final report is expected to be delivered by the end of this month.
