The Systep Team is pleased to present the Chilean Electricity Sector Monthly Report.

The March editorial is entitled “Blackout in the SEN: A call for attention”. It highlights the importance of having external audits to evaluate the origin and effects of the blackout, the operational restriction of the CEN that reduced the transit of power from 1,800 MW to 800 MW in the Nueva Maitencillo-Nueva Pan de Azúcar line between March 4 and 19, and the need to constantly review the regulations and technical criteria that govern the operation of the electricity system.

In addition, the Report and electricity sector statistics are available for download in Excel format from our statistics web portal. Through this measure, we seek to facilitate the community’s access to information related to the electricity sector, for which we compile and organize the most relevant SEN data on a monthly basis:

Analysis of the operation.
Systep 12-months spot price forecast.
Summary by companies.
Auction prices.
Non-Conventional Renewable Energies.
Regulatory monitoring.
Projects in Environmental Impact Assessment.

We hope that this Report will be a contribution to the electricity industry. It is distributed on a monthly basis.
