The Systep Team is pleased to present the Monthly Report of the Chilean Electricity Sector (in Spanish).

In this Report we analyze the forward tender process 2013/03 for the supply of regulated customers, in which for the first time there are energy blocks that cover only certain hours of the day that match the availability of non-conventional renewable energy, particularly solar and wind. From Systep’s point of view we raise the criteria that should be followed for the supply tenders to accomplish the main targets of these processes: to contract the total demand and achieve the lowest prices for the regulated customers.

We expect that this report will be a contribution to the electricity industry, where we also review the following information:
