The Systep Team is pleased to present the Monthly Report of the Chilean Electricity Sector (in Spanish).

This edition of the Report analyzes the national and international discussion about the regulation of energy storage systems, due to the growing interest of investors in developing this kind of technology. In particular, the regulations used in the US and Europe were analized, focusing on the questions arrizing on how to harness the multiple services that energy storage systems can offer in different markets, avoiding double payments. Develloping clear and stable rules in the long run is a key aspect, in order to fully exploit the benefits and added value from energy storage systems, and promoting private investment on these technologies.

We expect that this report will be a contribution to the electricity industry, where we also review the following information:
