The Systep Team is pleased to present the Monthly Report of the Chilean Electricity Sector (in Spanish).

This edition of the Report presents an analysis of the Tariff Equity and Local Generation Recognition Law. In particular, it highlights the changes that residential tariffs will undergo in two of the country’s municipalities, Alto Biobío, which will benefit from the new law, and Santiago, which will largely subsidize these subsidies. The type of consumer to be financed by this law is also analyzed. Finally, a reflection is made on cross-subsidies and the market signals they can provide.

In addition, the Report and electricity sector statistics are available for download in Excel format from our statistics web portal. Through this measure, we seek to facilitate the community’s access to information related to the electricity sector, for which we compile and organize the most relevant data of the SIC and SING systems on a monthly basis:
