“During the debate that took place in the Senate Finance Committee, several experts participated, among them the general manager of Systep, Rodrigo Jiménez, who warned of the urgency of having a new mechanism, since, according to the firm’s calculations, a typical customer who currently consumes about 300 kWh could pay from $38,500 to $55,398, while the debt with the generators could soar to US$ 2,400 million.
Jimenez also presented simulations, regarding that if they replicated a new stabilization fund, identical to that of 2019, some US$ 7 billion would be needed. “
